Dr Aruna Karnawat has completed her Post Graduate Residency DNB (Radiodiagnosis) and is currently working as Faculty and Consultant Radiologist at Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad. In her past, she has worked as a Junior Consultant in Mure Memorial Hospital and Rainbow Diagnosis, Nagpur. She has also done Observership in CT and MRI (Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad) and Liver Transplant Imaging (Amrita Institute Of Medical Sciences, Kochi, India).
Dr Aruna has done a fellowship in Body Transplant Imaging from Seoul National University Hospital, South Korea and has also undertaken a coveted WHO project on Antenatal Ultrasound and Doppler in Second and Third Trimester (among 100 registered pregnant women). She had been actively involved in teaching post graduates, conducting periodical exams and moderating seminars at Yashoda Hospitals and Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences. She has also been an active coordinator for practical examinations in Radiodiagnosis conducted by National Board of Examinations at Yashoda Hospitals for 3 years.
Dr Aruna Karnawat’s research work includes case papers on ‘Evaluation Of Digital Radiographs & Other Performance’ (Indian Journal Of Public Health And Research, Year 2014, Volume 5, Issue 4), ‘Aggressive Angioxmyxoma Of The Prostate Gland’ (Asian J Med Clin Sci, Jan - Apr 2014, Vol-3, Issue – I), ‘Bilateral Petrous Apex Cephalocleles’ (Neurology India. 2012: Volume: 60 Issue 5, Page: 563-564) among others. Some of her paper presentations include ‘Can We Predict Gangrenous Changes In Acute Cholesystitis On Plain MRI’ at 65th Annual Congress Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) in January 2012 and ‘Percutaneous Embolisation Of Vascular Malformations’ at 57th Annual Congress Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) in January 2004. She also has multiple poster presentations like ‘A Rare Case of Posterior Fossa Juvenile Xanthoastrocytoma’ at 63rd Annual Congress IRIA and ‘Mixed Doubles- A Deadly Combination (Amniotic Band Syndrome + Limb Body Wall Complex)’ at 57th Annual Congress IRIA to her credit.
