CYKUL - Freedom Ride 2017

On the 12th & 13th of August, Continental Hospitals in association with CYKUL is organizing a Freedom Ride: A Cyclothon, Food Fest, Live Entertainment at Gachibowli Stadium

Day 1 - 12th August: Joy Ride Fun with Family and Friends. Food Fest by Zomato,  Cycling by Cykul & Live  Entertainment by Re Ni SA- the live band. Cycling rides will be inside the stadium. There's also a kid ride + professional Criterium race with India's top 50 cyclists. Cycles + helmet will be provided + food if you register as a rider. Free entry for the food feast and entertainment. 


Day 2 - 13th August: Signature + Relay Rides on a 70km scenic route. Breakfast + lunch + on route refreshments.


Continental Hospitals had been provided ambulance support at the venue and given away special take home gifts for the riders. Tuned on 92.7 Big FM and 91.1 Radio City.

Day 1 of the Freedom Ride Cyclothon was a great success with close to 2000 cycling enthusiasts participating at Gachibowli Stadium. The day started with some warm up activities and Zumba for the participants after which everybody headed out with their cycles along the designated route. The live music band performance along with the food Fest was a big hit among the audience. During the day, the ceremony of flag hoisting along with 50 orphaned children and talks by Jayesh Ranjan (Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Department of the Telangana government) was held.


As the medical partner, we provided ambulance support, nursing and physiotherapy services. We interacted with over 500 parents and educated them about our current Continental Superkid Healthcheck Package. Goody bags containing Superkid T-shirts, mugs and Healthcheck coupons were given away to the kids who participated in the toddler Cykulothon. 


On the closing day of the Freedom Ride, we were joined by nearly 800 cyclists who endeavored to take on the 70km track starting from Gachibowli Stadium. 50 of India's award winning cyclists participated in the Cykulothon, including our very own Dr. Anil Kumar Reddy- Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist who achieved the 25th position despite having started nearly 30 minutes late. Another budding cyclist who stood out at the 6th Position was 16 year old Abhijith V,  son of Dr Ram Mohan Reddy- Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon within 2hrs & 35mins. Congratulations to all the cyclists!


The champions of the race were felicitated by DSP Ramana Murthy, APSPF. Our team on the ground once again outdid themselves by providing excellent and immediate medical care to those in need.
